The Imperial Security Bureau was created as a means to maintain the secure infrastructure of the New Imperial Order. This entails that the ISB be aware and party to all aspects of the New Imperial Order be they political, social, military or economic. The ISB acts as an internal security force focusing on internal threats whilst Imperial Intelligence focuses on external threats.
ISB operatives undertake many roles within the New Imperial Order. These roles include but are not limited to policing, counter-terrorism, investigation, apprehension, communication monitoring, surveillance, interrogation, Order-wide human resource management, re-education, adjucation and protocol enforcement.
ISB Agents rarely hide their identity as ISB agents due to the intimidation such a position often reflects within the hearts of all Imperials. Their operations however are also rarely discussed outside of the ISB and relevant Imperial High Command officials.
