Chapter I.

The New Imperial Order Code of Conduct

The New Imperial Order Code of Conduct is the set of standards by which all officers of the Empire live up to and are measured by. Officers of the New Imperial Order are expected to adhere to the Code of Conduct at all times, especially when communicating with other officers via IRC, the Holonet and E-Mail. Officers are to respect and treat each other with dignity in every situation.

By following and abiding by the Code of Conduct, members can enjoy the rich Imperial experience that the NIO provides, without worry of harrassment, belittlement, or prejudice. The Code of Conduct not only protects our membership from unscrupulous and unsavory characters, but it also protects the entire Empire, providing an ordered and stable set of protocols. The CoC applies to each and every officer in the New Imperial Order, from the Emporer all the way down the Chain of Command to our new recruits.

Every Imperial Officer, no matter what rank, should strive to conduct themselves in a true Imperial manner and live up to the New Imperial Order's motto: "Distinction and Honor".

This is not done to restrict communication in the Fleet, but mainly to cut down on confusing and chaotic E-Mail between a lot of people. The Emporer ALWAYS welcomes independent communication with a Member's specific or confidential problems or comments. A Member will receive important Fleet information from their superior officers. Members are to also check the Imperial Holonet regularly and attend the weekly meetings to keep up with events.
